In 2018 I published the first book in my YA Epic Fantasy Series, The Mapweaver Chronicles. Since then the saga has expanded into five full length novels, two novellas, and the beginnings of half a dozen spinoff stories all set in the world that has become known as The Nameless Realm.

The crazy idea to make the world into a whole D&D setting came after many MANY fans started asking me to create a Mapweaver class. Or telling me they had introduced my Pirate God character into their home games. So, in 2023 I launched a Kickstarter to bring the dream to life! And then, a week before the campaign went live, Wizards of the Coast announced their planned OGL changes. Due to the risk of them being able to take my existing IP and own the rights to anything D&D-related that I built with it, I took a massive leap - I decided to build a brand new TTRPG from the ground up instead.

The Mapweaver's Guide to the Nameless Realm has been a passion project from day one. Bringing the world to life in a brand new way is exciting, and overwhelming. Instead of just building something around existing mechanics, I'm getting the chance to create a system, sourcebook, and setting that fits my vision perfectly. And while it's definitely harder and more expensive than making a simple D&D setting, it's also more rewarding than I ever expected when this whole thing started!

Magic in the Nameless Realm doesn't work, nor should it work, just like other systems. Here, these elemental beings wouldn't be just one "race" with bunch of subraces. In the Mapweaver-verse? They would each be unique, and raw, and have their own place in the world.

Whatever The Cost

You have one "special move" that can always succeed. In fact, you can always FORCE it to succeed, even if the dice seem to be working against you. However, this talent does not come without a price, and the higher the stakes, the steeper that price may be.
